<p>Clan Scott descends from Uchtredus filius Scoti in the 12th century, and by the 15th century the Scotts of Buccleuch had become one of the most powerful families on the Scottish Borders, with lands spanning Roxburghshire, Selkirkshire, and Teviotdale. As Border Reivers, the Scotts were famed for their raids and their long-running feud with Clan Kerr, and figures like “Wicked Wat” led the clan through the turbulent 16th century, including the daring rescue of Kinmont Willie. The Scott tartan, first recorded in the 19th century, remains a proud symbol of that Border heritage.</p>
<p>This rich green-and-red colourway suits Highland games, weddings, and any occasion calling for a tartan with Border grit.</p>
<p>Each kilt is made to measure from a quality wool blend, hand-pleated to the sett, with a flat front apron and the traditional leather straps and buckles at the waist.</p>
