Black Watch Modern Tartan Bow Tie

The Black Watch is one of the most recognisable tartans in Highland dress: a dark navy, black and green sett tied to the 42nd Royal Highland Regiment, raised in the 1740s as one of the original independent Highland companies charged with policing the Highlands. Its muted, almost sombre colouring made it the government’s choice for military uniform, and it has since become a universal tartan worn well beyond any single clan.
