<p>The Clan Campbell of Cawdor Weathered Tartan Kilt is woven in warm tan and olive, crossed with red windowpane checks and fine sky-blue lines — a muted, earthy weathered colourway.</p>
<p>The Campbell of Cawdor line began in the early 16th century, when Sir John Campbell, third son of the 2nd Earl of Argyll, married Muriel Calder, heiress of the Calder estate in Nairnshire, bringing the lands and castle of Cawdor into Campbell hands. The tartan itself was originally an unnamed “Argyle” sett recorded in 1789, only taking the name “Campbell of Cawdor” when W. and A. Smith published their tartan book in 1850. Built on a Black Watch base with added red and light-blue stripes, it remains one of only four tartans officially authorised today by the Duke of Argyll, chief of Clan Campbell.</p>
<p>This warm, earthy colourway suits everyday Highland wear and outdoor gatherings alike.</p>
<p>Each kilt is made to measure from a quality wool blend, hand-pleated to the sett, with a flat front apron and the traditional leather straps and buckles at the waist.</p>
