The Clan Crawford Tartan Kilt carries the name of one of Scotland’s oldest Lowland families. The Crawfords took their name from lands in Clydesdale, Lanarkshire, and rose to prominence early in Scottish history, their line producing knights, sheriffs and — through Sir Reginald Crawford — a kinship with William Wallace himself. Their tartan gives that ancient name a rich, warm form.

The sett is deep and handsome: a ground of dark red crossed by blocks of green, with a fine white line drawing crisp squares across the cloth. The red and green make a full, traditional Highland combination, while the white overcheck keeps the pattern sharp and clear — a confident, dignified tartan.

It suits weddings, gatherings and celebrations alike. Wear it with an Argyll kilt jacket, add a leather sporran, and pick out the green with a set of kilt hose.

Wear it for the occasion, or because the name is yours.

I wore the Clan Crawford Tartan Kilt to a family gathering and it drew so many compliments. Strong stitching, heavy fabric, and a real sense of pride wearing it.
