<p>The Help for Heroes Tartan Kilt is woven in navy blue, crossed with sky-blue windowpane checks and fine red lines — a proud, service-inspired colourway.</p>
<p>Unlike a family or clan tartan, the Help for Heroes tartan was created to support British Armed Forces veterans. Launched at Edinburgh Castle in March 2012, the design was inspired by two former soldiers of the 2nd Battalion, The Royal Regiment of Scotland, and woven by the Edinburgh military tailor GB Tailoring. Its colours are drawn directly from the services: navy blue for the Royal Navy, lighter blue for the Royal Air Force, and red for the Army. The tartan supports Help for Heroes, the charity founded in 2007 by Bryn and Emma Parry after visiting wounded soldiers at Selly Oak Hospital, with proceeds from tartan products helping fund support for injured veterans and their families.</p>
<p>This proud navy colourway suits Remembrance events, Highland games, and any occasion calling for a visible show of support for the Armed Forces.</p>
<p>Each kilt is made to measure from a quality wool blend, hand-pleated to the sett, with a flat front apron and the traditional leather straps and buckles at the waist.</p>
