Clan Macpherson is one of the great Badenoch clans of the central Highlands, part of the old Chattan confederation, with its seat at Cluny. This is the Hunting version of their tartan.
The Hunting sett runs a soft grey ground crossed with black and lit by a distinctive magenta-pink and fine blue overcheck. It is quieter than the red Macpherson setts, but the pink line keeps it from being plain.
It suits weddings, clan gatherings, and Highland Games, and carries the Macpherson name in a cooler, more understated colouring. Wear it with a tweed kilt jacket and a leather sporran, finished with a set of kilt hose.
