The Murrays of Atholl are one of the great houses of the central Highlands, Dukes of Atholl seated at Blair Castle in Perthshire, and keepers of the only legal private army in Europe, the Atholl Highlanders.
This is the Modern colouring: a dark green and navy-blue ground crossed with black and cut through by a fine red overcheck. It is a deep, dignified tartan in the classic Highland style.
It suits weddings, clan gatherings, and Highland Games, and carries the name of the Murrays of Atholl. Wear it with an Argyll jacket and a semi-dress sporran, finished with a set of kilt hose.
Wear it for the occasion, or because the name is yours.

Ewan Douglas –
Absolutely thrilled with my Clan Modern Murray Of Athol Tartan Kilt. It holds beautifully during events, and the tartan colours are rich and vibrant.
