<p>The County Kerry Tartan Kilt is woven in teal-green and deep rust-brown, crossed with navy blue and fine black lines — a rich, earthy colourway.</p>
<p>Unlike Scotland’s clan tartans, Ireland’s counties are each represented by their own district tartan, designed to celebrate local history and landscape rather than family lineage. The County Kerry tartan was designed by Polly Wittering of the House of Edgar and registered in the mid-1990s as part of a series of Irish county tartans. Its teal evokes Kerry’s rugged Atlantic coastline and lakes of Killarney, its rust-brown reflects the hills of the Iveragh and Dingle peninsulas, and its navy recalls the ocean along the county’s shore. Kerry was once part of the ancient Kingdom of Munster and is still known locally as “the Kingdom” today.</p>
<p>This earthy colourway suits Highland games, weddings, and any occasion calling for a proud nod to Irish heritage.</p>
<p>Each kilt is made to measure from a quality wool blend, hand-pleated to the sett, with a flat front apron and the traditional leather straps and buckles at the waist.</p>
