Dunbar Ancient Kilt

<p>The Dunbar Ancient Kilt sets the Dunbar sett in salmon-coral red, crossed with teal-blue windowpane checks and soft grey lines — the traditional “ancient” dye treatment.</p>
<p>Clan Dunbar descends from Gospatric, Earl of Northumbria, who fled to Scotland after William the Conqueror stripped him of his title in 1072. King Malcolm III granted him lands at Dunbar, making him Earl of Dunbar, and his descendants went on to hold the Earldom of Dunbar and March in south-east Scotland until 1435, controlling much of Lothian and the Borders — Berwick, Peebles, Selkirk, and Roxburgh — along with substantial holdings in Northumberland and Cumberland. The tartan itself was first recorded in the 1842 Vestiarium Scoticum.</p>
<p>This soft coral-and-teal colourway suits everyday Highland wear, semi-formal gatherings, and anyone proud of their Border heritage.</p>
<p>Each kilt is made to measure from a premium wool blend, hand-pleated to the sett, with a flat front apron and the traditional leather straps and buckles at the waist.</p>
