Every MacMillan traces to the Lochaber Highlands, a clan whose name comes from the Gaelic for “son of the tonsured one,” a nod to early monastic roots.
This is the Hunting sett, quieter than the clan’s bright dress tartan: a dark green and navy ground lit with fine red and yellow overcheck lines. It was patented in the early 1890s by Donald MacMillan of the Clan MacMillan Society.
