Ralston Muted Tartan Kilt

<p>The Ralston Muted Tartan Kilt carries the Ralston sett in a teal-blue ground, crossed with green, magenta-pink, and gold windowpane lines. Despite the “muted” name, the colours here read lively and layered — a more expressive alternative to the softer weathered version of the same tartan.</p>
<p>The Ralston name comes from the lands of Ralston, just east of Paisley in Renfrewshire, originally granted as “Ralphistoun” — Ralph’s settlement — to the younger son of the Earl of Fife in the early 12th century. The first recorded Ralston, William de Ralston, appears in historical documents from 1270, and by the 14th century the family had grown prominent enough that Sir William de Ralston was granted further lands and titles by King David II. Clan Ralston is recognised by the Court of the Lord Lyon, though it’s currently without a chief, making it an armigerous clan — anyone descended from Ralston lands may wear its tartans.</p>
<p>This teal-and-magenta colourway suits weddings, formal dinners, and any occasion where a Ralston wants their tartan to stand out with genuine colour and life.</p>
